Bayern Munich ready to break club transfer record to sign Hudson-Odoi

Bayern Munich are reportedly set to make a new €45m bid for Chelsea teenager Callum Hudson-Odoi this week but face competition from RB Leipzig for his signature.

Hudson-Odoi has already turned down several contract offers from the west London outfit with the Daily Mail revealing that money is not the issue for the 18-year-old.

A story from Rob Draper has indicated that the England youth international wants to leave Stamford Bridge and follow in Jadon Sancho’s footsteps by making a mark on the Bundesliga, having recently rejected an €85,000 per week offer from Chelsea.

Bayern will offer €45m for the attacker this week – breaking their club transfer record in the process.

RB Leipzig meanwhile are thought to be weighing up a €25m bid that will also include a buy-back option for the Premier League club.

Maurizio Sarri’s side now have a decision to make with Hudson-Odoi’s contract expiring in 2020.

It means that his value will drop dramatically after the window shuts next Thursday, so those behind the scenes in west London either need to cash in over the next few days or face losing the player for half the money in the summer.
